The rise of advent calendars is more than evident. In recent years, advent calendars have become an increasingly common product and over the years they have become an integral part of Christmas.

Once common to find chocolates, there are now a variety of surprises on offer, in the case of the Stranger Things calendar, pendants from the series to decorate the bracelet and necklace included.

A surprise every day

These calendars usually start on 1 December and count down the days until Christmas Eve, 24 December. Each day a small window or section of the calendar opens to reveal a surprise or gift.
